About
After practicing almost every style of yang yoga there is Karlijn fell in love with the soft, accessible and loving character of yin yoga. The combination of total relaxation of the muscles and stimulating the meridians brings peace and space to the body and mind. What is not to love? Becoming a yoga teacher felt like a logical step because teaching has been a life long passion of Karlijn. After getting a bachelors in teaching and a masters as a ortho-pedagoge she became a teacher at a high school for children with special needs. Now she teaches students at the University of applied science in Leiden who want to become a teacher. She says she is honoured to now also share here knowledge and experience of yoga. Her classes focus on mindfulness and creating a flexible and relaxed body. Letting go of everything that does not serve you and melting away in pure relaxation. She’ll help you find a little stillness in a yang city like Amsterdam. Treasures On The Left All these items were given to me by my loved ones, that’s what makes them so special. The small blue and red necklace is from my mother. She traded it for a nike t-shirt in Kenia at the Masai on her honeymoon with my dad. The cool concreted one is handmade by my super creative sister who lives in London. And the heart shaped pebble was found by my boyfriend when we were traveling in Indonesia on a beautiful little beach on Bali. |
