Founder and Owner of YorYoga, Kremena is a self-taught entrepreneur with a touch of creativity who has found a way to combine her passion for yoga with a corporate career. Now she teaches others how to achieve balance and self-awareness by incorporating yoga practice in their lives.
Kremena’s style is Strala inspired but with a touch of Own Creativity and Self Developed poses and flows. Kremena fuses the philosophy of yoga with modern-day life as the basis of her teachings in yoga. Her realistic, straight-up, and modern attitude has made her favourite teacher in both Amsterdam and The Hague. Her flair for teaching and organising weekly yoga classes, special workshops and events was what has motivated her to contact more yoga professionals to join her mission of sharing yoga with the working professionals.
Originally from Bulgaria, one of the oldest nations in Europe, Kremena grew up in a town called Dobrich - famous for its ethnographic museum, art gallery and philharmonic orchestra. She took her first lesson 10 years ago when she first moved to the Netherlands; feeling an incredible surge of energy and elation - she couldn’t help but fall in love with it. Kremena has been practicing vigorously since that time and three years ago she received her instructor diploma. Kremena's goal is to make practicing and teaching yoga her full time occupation.
When practicing yoga, Kremena says she feels in touch with her inner self - it helps her to organise her thoughts and connect with her feelings: "Yoga amplifies the senses and makes me see things in 25 dimensions."
In her free time, Kremena loves to drink coffee! Nothing compares to a great cup of coffee and good company to drink it with! She also enjoys the sound of nature - particularly as a background to her practice. When the weather allows for it - Kremena takes her practice to the park or the beach. Sounds of nature definitely help for a great flowing practice.
When asked about the roll of yoga in her life, Kremena says that yoga already plays a huge roll - next year she will focus entirely on it and devote all of her attention and efforts to practicing yoga as a full time occupation. Kremena hopes to showcase Bulgaria as a yoga retreat destination to more people. There are incredible places, great teachers, a rich culture and fantastic food. She absolutely loves practicing there and hopes that more people discover it alongside her.
In 2014, Kremena was fortunate enough to be able to go to South Africa and teach yoga to underprivileged children. This was one of the most rewarding and touching experiences in her life. When we asked what moves her, she answered - any cause that contributes to the wellbeing of children, especially those affected by war, displacement and severe poverty.
